Introducing SIP Trunks
A SIP Trunk (Session Initiation Protocol trunk) is a way of making and receiving telephone calls over the internet instead of traditional phone lines. It connects your phone system to the public telephone network using your internet connection. In simple terms, a SIP trunk replaces physical phone lines with a virtual connection. This allows your business phone system to handle voice calls in the same way as a traditional setup, but without the need for ISDN or analogue lines.
Businesses use SIP trunks because they are flexible and scalable. You can add or remove call capacity (channels) as needed, support remote working, and easily reduce costs compared to traditional phone services.
Our SIP Trunks work with common applications including, but not limited to, Asterisk, Freeswitch, FreePBX and 3CX.
Callflows
Callflows let you design how incoming calls are handled using a simple visual editor. You can drag and drop elements to set rules for routing, menus, and call handling, making it easy to build and adjust call logic without technical complexity.
Number Management
Manage all your telephone numbers from one central place. You can view, configure, and update numbers as needed, including emergency services (999) information and call routing on a per-number (DDI) basis.
Call Diversion
Set calls to automatically redirect to another number when required. Diversions can be applied manually or triggered automatically if your PBX system is unavailable, helping ensure calls are always answered.
Visibility
Call Management
Itemised Calls
View detailed records of all inbound and outbound calls, including live calls in progress. Call records include duration, call quality, routing information, and access to recordings where enabled.
Call Heatmap
Visualise your call activity geographically to see where calls are coming from and identify regional trends, customer hotspots, and business opportunities.
Call Recordings
Access and review call recordings through an intuitive interface with separate audio channels for each participant. All recordings are securely encrypted and stored across two UK data centres.
Number Presentation
Control the number displayed on outbound calls at both user and account level. Present your own numbers or approved external numbers to maintain a consistent business identity.
Call Statistics
Monitor inbound and outbound call activity across users, groups, or your entire account. Flexible reporting periods help you analyse call volumes, performance, and trends.
Support
Faults & Security
Faults
Raise and track support requests directly through the control panel. Our team can perform diagnostics, investigate issues, and keep you updated through a single ticketing system.
Fraud Prevention Alerts
Protect your account with automated fraud monitoring. Receive email or SMS alerts when spending exceeds predefined thresholds or unusual call activity is detected.
Authentication
Secure your SIP trunk using a username and password configured within your PBX, ensuring only authorised systems can connect.
Authentication Logs
View detailed authentication activity, including registrations, re-registrations, and failed login attempts. These logs are useful for troubleshooting and security monitoring.
Call Barring
Restrict outbound calls to selected destinations, including international, premium-rate, and directory enquiry numbers. Ideal for controlling costs and preventing misuse.
Block List
Block unwanted callers with ease. Add numbers to your block list to prevent nuisance, spam, or persistent marketing calls from reaching your system.
Optional
Enhanced Trunks
Our Hybrid SIP Trunk adds cloud-based call handling features to a traditional SIP trunk, giving you greater flexibility and resilience without replacing your existing PBX.
Features can be managed through our control panel, reducing the need for specialist PBX expertise. They also provide a valuable fallback option, allowing calls to be rerouted and managed even if your PBX is offline due to a power failure, network outage, or other emergency.
Opening Hours
Create and manage business opening hours using a simple visual interface. Set regular weekly schedules, add holiday closures, and choose exactly how calls should be handled when your business is closed.
Change / Prepend Caller ID
Control how incoming and outgoing calls are presented. Modify or prepend caller ID information based on the number called, the caller, or the call flow being used.
Caller Menu (IVR)
Build professional caller menus without the complexity of traditional PBX programming. Create simple IVR menus through our platform and route callers to the right destination before the call reaches your phone system.
Play Media
Upload and manage audio recordings from a central library. Play welcome messages, announcements, holiday notices, or other recordings as part of your call handling and routing rules.
