At CIX we have designed facilities that allows you not only register and transfer domains, but to retain control. All too often customers register domain names only to find that the domain wasn't registered in their name, the domain was registered through third parties, or worst of all, there are additional charges to apply changes or move the domain name away. We have made sure that none of these issues apply, and you can use CIX for registration and domain management services with confidence.
At the heart of our business is our unique in-house developed control panel. Using this you can have complete full automated control over the domain names you house with us.
If you need assistance or advice you can speak to our UK based staff on the phones or via email. You can be sure of detailed personal responses without pre-written generic responses.
We provide a comprehensive DNS management facility allowing you to setup and alter a multitude of records include A, MX, CNAME, TXT and SVR via our control panel interface.
We are one of few providers that can boast this number of domain name extensions. This is not just useful if you wish to expand your companies reach into other countries, but it can help against brand thieves, or it can form part of your company brand.
For a small fee of £2.00 per year, WHOIS privacy can be enabled to the majority of our TLD and gTLD domain names. This will ensure that your name, address, phone number and email address aren't readily viewable via the public WHOIS.
Our control panel allows you to view and update the whois registration records which confirm the owner, admin, billing and technical contacts of a domain. Any changes made are applied within seconds.
Once a domain name has either been registered with us, or transferred in, the control panel interface allows you to apply updates to the name servers whether that be to point traffic to be handle by us, or externally with a third party.
Some domain name extensions allow you to apply domain name locks which prevent against accidental changes to the whois records, or being moved away without your consent. Changes made to the locking take immediate effect.
In order to transfer some domain extensions, such as .com or .net, an EPP Authorisation code is required. Our panel allows you to instantly generate the code without any charge or hindrance.
Nominet .uk domain names use IPS Tags to identify which host controls the domain. Within our panel you can release domain names to other IPS Tags instantaneously and without penalty charges.
